In LA and in any populated spot in the world there is a crisis, a crisis with taking care of our own poverty stricken people. The flood of people losing jobs and losing money make so many homeless citizens. What is sad is that people, me, look the other way, thinking the people without a roof over your head and no income from anywhere were bad people to begin with. But really they are just lost people who need a Savior. A couple days ago I and my friends ended up at Denny’s in LA, having dinner. None of us knew God was going to use my friends to help witness and take care of those on poverty. I say my friends because I was the one who was scared to hang with a rough looking lady right outside Denny’s. The homeless people of LA look scary and dangerous, but once you get to talking with them, like my friends did you see they just want to be loved, and to be helped. These destitute men and women are the most humble people a person could ever know, and have nothing to lose. They the epitome of how bad life can be.We should envy them. They aren’t proud, rude, or arrogant. They just lack a loving family and the knowledge of an all powerful God. And that’s what my friends gave. They went back earlier tonight to go and share the gospel to them, pray with them, feed them, and ask if they need anything. God was working through my very good friend’s hearts, my heart, and those who were homeless. There were only three homeless people that attended to the Denny’s Diner and each on of them had a different story to why they live the way they do. One man was most likely around eighty years old and has no options to find a job. We as Americans and as a Christian nation need to go out into our community and be there for those who are in need.
